Pizza Shop

Recently, my class went to a Korean pizza shop.  The pizza wasn't as different from American pizza as one may think, but the topping selection was different.  It was altered to suit the Korean taste.  The pizza was still good and I liked it better than America pizza.  It was less greasy and tasted better.

Problems Problems Problems

One problem I have recently encountered in my life was my soccer team.  My team plays with the best teams in Korea but we are really bad.  The league is U15 but most of us are 12 or 13 years old.  In four games, we have let in almost 100 goals. (-_-) Hopefully, all of us are coming this week and we are playing the second worst team in the league (who would be one of the best teams in American city) and all our players are coming so maybe we can score a few goals.  Before, foreign registration hindered some of us from playing.  Still, even with all our players, we don't have a real goalkeeper nor any good defenders. Ahhhhh....Problems Problems Problems.... :/

Waffle Shop

I recently went to a Waffle Shop in Seoul, Korea, where I live.  It was interesting to see that the music played there was American music.  The waffle was served with ice cream and fruit, and I don't remember seeing waffles with ice cream in America, so I think it is indigenous to Korea.  The waffles were quite expensive at 11,000 KRW which is about 10 USD.  However, the waffle tasted delicious and it was a good experience.

Trendz

There are many trends I see in the community.  One trend in my community is Apple products.  Most of their products are overpriced, such as their computers, but it seems that everyone I know besides me has a MacBook Pro.  They are 1200 USD, but a lot of PC's that are just as good only cost about 900-1000 USD.  It makes me wonder why everyone loves Macs so much.  Another trend that used to exist that seems to have faded away were the Adidas F50's.  They weigh only 5.3 ounces and are supposed to make you "faster," and Messi wears them so they had a lot of hype.  However, I wore the shoes for a year and they were very uncomfortable and didn't fit well on my foot.  I don't recommend them. Bye Bye Bye..............

It's Story Time!

Recently, I watched the movie called Food Inc.  It changed the way I think about food when I eat.  The way food is made has drastically changed in the past 50 years. Meat doesn't come directly from the farm anymore, it comes from animals cramped up in feed houses where they are fed corn, because it is cheaper and makes the animals fatter.  Corn is taking over the food market, and it is in soda, jelly, fruit juices, ice creams, cereal bars, and many other common products.  Also, chicken have been mutated to grow faster and larger, and many die before they can even be slaughtered.

Not only the animals, but the way food is made has become harmful to humans too.  Cows are fed corn and live in their own manure, so if one cow has E. Coli, all the surrounding cows get E. Coli.  These days, one ground beef patty has meat from over 1,000 different cows.

Interesting.... O.o
